WWDC, Apple has officially declared the new version of its mobile operating system, iOS 9. The update will be available in the fall for free. iOS 9 runs on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

iOS 9 includes:

New Siri:

New user interface of Siri with additional functionality. Such as searches of pictures, reminders, including in and out of your car, contextual reminders about the current application content. If you’re in a message thread, saying ‘Remember me on this’ understand the current context and adds a link to the message thread as part of the Reminder.

Proactive and Intelligence:

Intelligent features to help you based on their context. Phone can look at the email to find contact information screens incoming calls.

Apple says that these new features are anonymous and happens on the device, it is not sent to a server. It is not shared with third parties and can be disabled in Settings.

Like Captain OS X, iOS 9 includes a new system font. It looks a lot like San Francisco.

Spotlight Siri Tips:

Spotlight includes a new section that flows nearby towns and relevant contact details. For example, applications emerge based on the current time.

Many new ways to search for content. This includes video search. Search Spotlight also has an API so third party applications can be integrated with the close-up view to find content within third-party applications. Spotlight has also moved to the left of the first home screen.

Transit In Maps App:

9 Maps iOS adds support traffic in some cities – buses, trains and subways. Playing in a single station displays all points close call. Transit support is also integrated into Siri. IOS transit nine split in Baltimore, Berlin, Chicago, London, Mexico City, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Toronto, Washington and China.

Split-Screen iPad:

Apple has finally expanded multitasking on the iPad to include split-screen applications. There is a new task switcher when you double-click the Start button. Other applications can be added to one side with a “slideover ‘mini-application. Applications on the side remain docked to switch applications on the left screen. Side by side applications can be extended to cover half of the screen. You can pull the other hand at any time to make an application fills the screen.

As a special case, you can even have video picture-in-picture. Videos applications can shoot a small view of the corner that can be scaled up and down. Videos have been playing no matter how the rest of the iPad is used
