apple's tv, apple mobile, streaming service may arrive sooner than any one expected

Apple’s much awaited streaming TV service could arrive as soon as the end of 2015. Reportedly, Apple’s new platform is already ‘ready and it rocks’.
According to a report by the New York post, Apple’s discussions with ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox are ‘rapidly gaining momentum.’ Initially, Apple had discussions with the networks regarding its desire to offer on the soon-to-launch service local live TV feeds streamed on any Apple device.
But, as networks do not control affiliate feeds, CEO Tim Cook’s team asked the networks to obtain the rights instead of the company having to chase those rights around the country themselves.
Disney or CBS will likely sign the first deal with Apple, sources suggest. But, one obstacle could be the company’s  insistence that TV partners give up 30 percent of the subscription fee if users buy it in the App Store. Also, others may push to include their cable channels in the product.
At the moment, it is unknown on how much the company will charge for the service which will be available for streaming on the iPhone, iPad, Apple TV. Though, industry sources have heard estimates ranging from $10 to $40 a month. Along with these major networks, the service will include ESPN and the Discovery Channel, the report added.
As of now, Apple has not disclosed any information about the next-generation Apple TV set-top box but, it will most likely be unveiled alongside the streaming TV service.
A previous report points out that Apple had recently announced its iOS 9 mobile operating system and OS X El Captain for Mac and now, the beta versions of both are made available for download to general public.
The betas of both operating systems were made accessible to registered developers last month, but now the public betas are free for all. This means, you don’t need a developer ID priced at $99 that translates to approximately Rs 6,300.

IS APPLE ,IS the todays winner in the market - live with apple music

A very long time ago, Apple entered the digital-music space with iTunes and the iPod, which revolutionised a user’s music experience to a large extent. Now, Apple wants to enhance the music craze to another level with the introduction of Apple Music, a new music streaming service for the masses. This Spotify-Pandora rival has arrived quite late in a market where most of the streaming services already have a strong grip. Even so, Apple’s still has some tricks up its sleeves
We list down a few points as to why Apple Music is worth a shot and also, how is it different/ better than its competitors.
1. Try it out before you purchase it
Access to the new service for the first 90 days is free! This itself is one the biggest reasons for an Apple user to try it out for a good amount of time and then decide, whether they would like to purchase it. After the free usage period, users will have to pay $9.99 per month for on-demand subscription access to over 30 million songs, or $14.99 monthly for a family membership that covers about six people. In India, Apple Music starts at Rs 120 for individuals and Rs 180 for the family pack.
2. Offline playback included
Apple Music will allow users to download any available songs, albums, or playlists for your device. There’s no limit as to what users can keep offline and for how long. Users will need to tap the “…” symbol to try out this feature.
3. Music Connect
Apple is allowing fans to directly connect with artists along with the ability to share photos, videos with Music Connect. This is similar to Twitter wherein users can communicate with artists as well but with Connect, Apple Music subscribers can play and save Connect content, or like posts. Unlike it’s previous failed attempt to enter the social network with Ping, Connect does not allow a user to create a profile of their own. However, they can connect on posts and also adds in the ability to share content on other social networks.
4. Siri integrated in Apple Music
Apple Music has Siri integrated in its streaming service via which you can call out any song you would like to listen to or any song by a particular artist. For example, “Play bollywood songs” or “Play some Drake”. Apple Music will also allow you to discover new music and can also stream a genre playlist or a radio station similar to an artist of your choice. No other service voice integration so this feature, definitely stands out for Apple Music.

Google tech exhibits augmented vision

Google has applied with the US Patent and Trademark Office for a new technology that will allow users wearing Google Glass-like device get information about objects within their line of vision, International Business Times reported.

Titled “Self-Describing 3D Object Recognition and Control Descriptors for Augmented Reality Interfaces,” the technology will “provide for the detection and recognition of target devices by a mobile computing device”, the patent description said.

According to the patent, the technology can only work for objects “within a pre-defined local environment”. It means that it will work in locations where Google Glass already has the information for every object that is there.

According to media reports, Google may also be testing the next version of the Google Glass called GG1. Google has a new eye wearable device in the works under the latest US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filing, which “might just be a new Google Glass”, Droid Life reported.

The FCC tests electronic products to ensure that they are safe for human contact. Google withdrew the eye-wearable device from the market in January this year but reports said that the US tech giant was planning to come up with a different version of the wearable headset.

latest news, Apple pulls 'offensive' apps featuring Confederate flags from App Store

Apple is making down on apps that feature the Confederate flag in the wake of last week’s church shooting in Charleston, South Carolina.

The company is joining Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Walmart, and other retailers in taking a stand against the flag, which has become a symbols of shooter Dylann Roof’s attack on Charleston’s historic Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal church. Roof is pictured holding a Confederate flag in a photo that spread quickly online after the shooting. South Carolina is now moving to put a stop  the flag from its state Capitol building.

Developers who used Confederate imagery in their apps were informed Thursday morning that Apple had pulled them from the App Store.

“We have removed apps from the App Store that use the Confederate flag in offensive or mean-spirited ways, which is in violation of our guidelines,” an Apple spokesperson told BuzzFeed. “We are not removing apps that display the Confederate flag for educational or historical uses.”

Those apps include games like Hunted Cow’s Civil War series and Ultimate General: Gettysburg. Andrew Mulholland, who directed the Civil War games, told Kotaku that his apps weren’t using the flag in an offensive way. “They were historical war games and hence it was the flag used at the time,” he told the gaming site.

Why this matters: When Apple CEO Tim Cook tweeted about eradicating racist symbols in the aftermath of the shooting, many Cupertino-watchers noticed that Confederate imagery abounded in the App Store.

facebook is a intresting game , how many of you say yes

Facebook is tweaking their algorithms to account for new metrics: the amount of time you spend looking at things in their food, whether or not actively interacts with it, TechCrunch reported.

Scroll past something without stopping for long, and algorithms of Facebook will slowly learn that you do not particularly care for that type of content.

Stop at a post for a bit, and Facebook the timer behind the scenes begins. If you spend more time in the story of what happens in most things in their feed for a "study of an image, seeking comment thread of a" they will take this as a sign that is something you matter.

This change allows Facebook algorithms for taking track without moving a finger.

Once things move towards the analysis of passive behavior, Facebook News Feed begins to understand what matters to you more than you ever could.

Facebook said it will present the algorithm tweak in the coming weeks. However, we do not expect drastic changes in what pops up in your diet, at least not soon. It will take some time before it really makes an impact.

Especially, pages are not likely to see significant changes in the distribution as a result of this update.

see ios9, was allowing a new messaging apps to use quick reply

see the extra feature added in ios9

iOS 9 brought many extra  features to iOS devices but the software update also has many small ones that make the experience of using iPhone and iPad more convenient for the users. One such feature as noted by iOSDevTips blog is support for quick reply functionality for third-party messaging apps.

This means after iOS 9 is released apps like WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram and others will be able to implement the quick reply feature into their apps, making it possible for the users to reply to messages by puling down on the interactive banner notifications.

iOSDevTips writes “iOS apps can show a text field in notifications, which was previously restricted to Messages. This will bring quick reply to WhatsApp, Messenger and other third party apps.”

For the quick reply functionality to work with their apps, developers will need to update them. Since the beta of the iOS 9 and Xcode is already in the the hands of the developers we can expect all major messaging apps to have this feature right from the first day after the update is released publicly.

The quick reply feature was added to iOS with the release of iOS 8, however it was limited to the stock Messages app only. Users who wanted this feature had to download Cydia tweaks to be able to quick reply to messages.
